Tuna Estimation Ruler

This tuna estimation ruler was designed to measure Atlantic Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus thynnus) BFT or Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares) YFT both on land and in the water. This tool helps to reduce the tension produced by the leader as well as the stress on the fish when lining close to the boat and make sure the safest possible release of the fish. Weight and age are estimated from the curved fork length of the fish with very precise scientific formulas. A ring is provided at the beginning to attach a carabiner allowing it to be attached to a boga grip or directly to the leader.
